Patrick McDaniel
Having grown up in an aviation family, being around planes has been a lifelong constant. I often joke it was inevitable I’d fall into the “aviation black hole” because my Dad has been an Alaska Airlines pilot for 26 years, one Grandpa was a coast guard winch operator, my other Grandpa was a bush pilot in Alaska and my brother is an ANP and Commercial pilot. See what I mean?
I also found my passion for flying while working for Alaska Airlines over 9 years. Between lugging heavy baggage onto planes to stopping fraudulent charges as an Analyst, I knew I would eventually find my way as a pilot. Learning the mechanics of a new plane, especially experimental varieties is one of my favorite hobbies. Around Aerodynamic, I am most known for teaching tailwheel.
Outside of flight instruction, I enjoy learning new chords on my guitars, hitting Fort Funston with my 110lb. Alaskan Malamute Roux and travelling through new cities with my wife, Annie.
