Amelia Reid Aviation, LLC
With three locations – Reid-Hillview Airport (KRHV) in San Jose, California, at the south end of San Francisco Bay, Salinas Municipal Airport (KSNS), in Salinas, California, 15 miles east of Monterey, and at Monterey Peninsula Airport in Monterey – AeroDynamic Aviation® (formerly Amelia Reid Aviation) offers complete flight training including Sport and Private Pilot, Instrument, Commercial, Multi-Engine, ATP, CFI, Tailwheel, Aerobatics, mountain flying, and provides ground school for all ratings.
What sets us apart is the legacy laid down by Amelia Reid of teaching true stick and rudder flying. As a premier flight school dedicated to good old fashioned stick-and-rudder skills, we can take your piloting ability and make it better, make it sharper and make it fun. In short, we will have you fall in love with flying all over again.
We offer tailwheel transitions, aerobatic training and insurance check-outs from several of our tailwheel aircraft including Citabria 7ECA, 7GCAA, 7KCAB, Decathlon 8KCAB, Stinson 108-2, and Maule M7-235. We can tailor lessons to your schedule and budget, and for pilots on a fast track we offer an intensive 3-day tailwheel course to get you signed off with the skills and confidence to handle a taildragger.
We also offer Sport Pilot training in our Evektor SportStar, Private Pilot through Flight Instructor training in Citabria or Cessna 172, complex training in a Cessna 172RG, high performance in Cessna 182, and multi-engine ratings in a Piper Twin Comanche.
Our goal is to offer the best training in very safe and reliable aircraft. We are in this business for the passion of flying and intend to be for many years to come. Our instructors are here to build pilots, not time. It’s what we do and what we love. Our entire fleet of aircraft continue to go through complete renovations and we will bring more on-line offering a wide variety of modern and vintage planes alike from tricycle to tailwheel. But it’s the taildraggers that we are partial to and it shows. Yes, they require more attention on the ground, but anyone can make that leap and the reward is the best time flying you’ll have had in a long time. We invite you to come out and become one of the family. Let’s go flying!
