Minfei Chen
Minfei grew up in a small village in Hangzhou, China. Being the younger daughter of the family, she is adventurous and always curious. She majored in English in college, came to the United States in 2013, and pursued a Master’s degree in teaching English. She became a permanent resident in the U.S. after marrying her husband Roy, whom she met at the school where they both teach. She is an active member of the Ninety-Nines, an International Organization of Women Pilots, and a member of the National Association of Flight Instructors (NAFI). In her free time, she enjoys Tango dancing, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, and stand-up comedy.
Minfei is qualified to teach both single-engine land and sea, multi-engine land for private pilot certificates, instrument ratings, and commercial certificates. Since April 2022, Minfei has worked as a CFI, CFII, and MEI, accumulating over 500 hours of dual instruction time on aircraft including the Cessna 152, 172, Piper PA28, and Baron BE55.
