Martín Di Stefano

Martín fell in love with aviation at a young age after seeing Skip Stewart perform near his hometown in rural Missouri. This sparked a particular affinity for biplanes and led him to pursue aerospace engineering as a career. While in college, Martín earned his private pilot certificate and began taking aerobatic lessons in a Pitts S-2B. He earned his tailwheel endorsement in a Legend Cub and received further aerobatic training in a Super Decathlon while living on the Gulf Coast. During grad school, Martín was fortunate enough to buy his own Steen Skybolt (pictured above).

After completing his PhD, Martín went to work for a national laboratory where he analyzed and designed hypersonic test vehicles. While there, he earned his instrument rating and commercial certificate. His enjoyment of this flight training process inspired him to give up engineering to pursue flying as a full-time career. He also serves in the Navy Reserve as an aerospace engineering duty officer. When not flying, Martín enjoys spending time with his wife, Mallory, and their four pets. Some of his hobbies include video games, metalworking, and home improvement projects.

Martín believes that the quality and dedication of an instructor has a profound impact on their students’ safety and success, and he is happy to be a part of the AeroDynamic Aviation family. He has always enjoyed sharing his passion for aviation with others, and he looks forward to flying with you soon!
