We have created a non-profit called Jason Brown Memorial Fund to honor Jason’s legacy. All proceeds go toward an annual scholarship for tailwheel training. For full details and to apply for the $2,000 Jason Brown Tailwheel Scholarship.
Jason Brown Tailwheel Scholarship
Each year we will award $2,000 towards any type of tailwheel training such as for an endorsement, private pilot, spin/upset, aerobatics, mountain flying, backcountry, or backseat instructor.
Submissions are due by 5 pm PST December 15, 2024. Scholarships will be awarded each year on Jason’s birthday of December 22.
Our Assistant Chief Instructor, Jason Brown, passed away unexpectedly on April 11, 2021. In his honor we created the nonprofit Jason Brown Memorial Fund. Every year we will raise money to award for tailwheel scholarships.
Jason began teaching with us in 2011. He fell in love with the backseat of a Citabria and spent many hours sharing his love of tailwheel flying with others. Countless students and pilots blame Jason for their love of taildraggers.
