“I am an engineer at Uber, where I build the company’s knowledge graph. When I was little, I built flying contraptions. I would put a board across my shoulders like a wing and run really fast, or make spinning rotors which, unfortunately, did not produce enough lift to heft me into the sky. It took me a long time to climb into the cockpit of a real flying machine, but it has been a dream come true. I can’t wait for my first cross-countries.”

Henry has sought to fly ever since he could first point to the Southwest 737s on approach to San Jose. For many years, he would only fly on flight simulators and take any opportunity to visit the airport to watch the commercial jets land at San Francisco. Every time he would fly, he would look up to the captains with reverence for their awe-inspiring jobs. He is excited to proceed with his career in aviation, and pursue at job at the commercial airlines.

Way to make it happen in a taildragger! We tend to think it’s a good thing to solo in a Citabria 😉
New Private Pilot – Zibin He

Certification: Private Pilot
Instructor: Travis Mills
Aircraft: Cessna N61637
“I want to fly, and I cannot remember how many times I was excited to look outside when everyone else fell asleep in a long-haul flight. Unfortunately, I failed to join the reserve pilot program offered by the biggest airline in my country when I was a high school student. Couple years later, I decided to find my way becoming a pilot. I want to say thank you to my parents; they gave me immense support to my pilot dream. I also want to give my thanks to my instructor Travis, and Aerodynamic Aviation. I think I will go flying around with my friends for a while and jump to IFR training shortly.” ~ Zibin
Congrats on a first-time pass with DPE Oren!
