I did, and now that I have one more semester left before I graduate from San Jose State University, I finished my private pilot’s license. I’ll try to keep flying during graduate school, but between the workload and the lack of money, that may prove difficult. “I started my fascination with aviation when I was young. My parents would tell me when I was 6 I would be looking at airplanes and would point at planes and say “I want to do that some day”, and that day came. With the help of my parents I was able to start my flight training at 15 and a half, before I had my driving permit, and soloed on my 16th birthday, flying alone before I could drive a car alone. Sean always had the soaring dream of flying and owning his own aircraft since he was a kid. About a little more than an year ago, an exciting flight in a Cirrus SR aircraft motivated him to come and join Aerodynamic last September to start and continue his flying lessons to become a Private Pilot. Sean is getting the new Cirrus aircraft of his dreams next year and will continue his instrument training in his new plane. His plans are to travel with friends and family to many places in the new aircraft.
He also wants to spend more time in his California Central Coast home using his plane to travel back and forth.
At the same time, Sean wants to continue his learning to become a better and better pilot!

“She’s a rock star!” are the words so many of us hope our Designated Examiner will say about us after our checkride. Sadly, very few us do well during that stressful test. However, Ryann (and most of us in the office) got to hear her examiner say this about her. Did we mention this was in a taildragger, too? Wow! But if you’ve flown with Ryann, you would say the same. After selling a car that she built, spending every spare dime on flying and dedicating all her free time studying, Ryann definitely earned her rock star title. CFI Jason couldn’t be more proud. Ryann plans to take her friends and family out to share the amazing views from the air. Next up – seaplanes and backcountry flying.

Henry recently graduated high school and will be heading to Purdue in August to become a professional pilot. Henry worked in our office on Saturdays and will be very missed. After moving to Bay Area 3 years ago, I decided to chase my childhood dream of flying and started training at Aerodynamic Aviation. Tailwheels were the obvious choice for me since very few schools actually offer training in them and I did not want to miss that opportunity. Balancing training and a full time job wasn’t easy but I was in good hands of CFI Jason Brown.
