We love making pilots. It feeds our flight school soul. We are delighted to introduce our newest pilot success story – Anand! He and CFI Bradley worked incredibly hard to make this checkride happen, especially getting all the requirements done with the weeks of stormy weather cancelling many of his planned solo cross-country flights. Well done on working through the challenges and passing your checkride on the first attempt!

We are busy helping dreams come true and we love it. It is such an incredible moment for an instructor to watch their student take all they’ve taught them and have a successful first solo flight. The smiles on their faces tell us all we need to know – they loved it! Congrats on your milestone!

A bit late, but a big we send a big “well done” out to Yujie and his CFI Benny for making the trek to Sacramento’s McClellan airport and passing a checkride with DPE Richard Conte.
Mr. Conte passed away in October and is extremely missed. Yujie was very fortunate to have a checkride with Richard before he left us.

Another of his students hits a milestone with a first time solo at Reid-Hillview airport. Cessna 54102 is staying busy with these fast-paced student pilots. Congrats, Han!

Sep 20 2022Private Pilot Checkride: August 19, 2022

After soloing in June, Yuanchen Li made quick work of finishing off the Private Pilot certification requirements and earned his PPL less than 2 months later. His instructors Skyler and Sergey said he’s a natural stick and rudder pilot who learned very quickly. Sounds like he needs to fly taildraggers next! 😉
New Instrument Pilot – Chirag Chaudhari
Jun 28 2022Instrument Rating Checkride: May 24, 2022
Instructor: Thao Do
Aircraft: Cessna N54102
School Location: San Jose, CA (KRHV)
“After slowly completing the 3 required simulated instrument flight hours in private pilot training 0.5 hours at a time, I was worried how I would get through the 40+ expected hours in instrument training. However, with Thao’s expertise and willingness to help me get this license as efficiently as possible, I was able to get through it and learn many things along the way. Instrument training is truly very methodical and once you know the general flow, it gets easier the more approaches you shoot. This was a team effort, and I can’t wait to begin further training with Thao!” ~ Chirag
