Certification: Multi-Engine Instructor
Aircraft: Twin Comanche N40DA

We are so pleased to have Petra flying with us and soon teaching with us! Petra and her husband Scott came to fly our Twin Comanche. Soon after, Scott began tailwheel with us, and Petra re-instated her CFI, CFII and added MEI to her list of flying capabilities. After a trip to her home in Finland, Petra will be back to teach future multi-engine students. Way to make a first-time pass of this checkride!

New Private Pilot – Matthew Tripp
Jul 23 2018Date: July 14, 2018
Certification: Private Pilot
Instructor: Adam Sciupac
Aircraft: Cessna N54102
“I started flying when I was 14. My parents got me a discovery flight for my birthday and I was hooked. I started my training in 1989 and logged about 50 hrs and my first solo before life intervened.
28 years later I decided to get back into aviation and found Aerodynamic. The Aerodynamic family and specifically Adam Sciupac, who is an amazing instructor, took me through getting my private pilot license.
From here I hope to continue with my instrument, complex and multi engine ratings to safely explore all aviation has to offer with my friends and family.” ~ Matthew
Congrats on a first-time pass of your Private Pilot checkride!

New Private Pilot – Katrina Espinoza
Jul 09 2018Date: June 25, 2018
Certification: Private Pilot
Instructor: Lynzie Hudson & Travis Mills
Aircraft: Cessna N12234
We are so proud of Katrina’s hard work and dedication. After a challenging beginning to her training at another school, Katrina persevered and commuted to our San Jose location. Katrina won a few scholarships through the 99s to help pave the way for flying. Thanks to their help, and our wonderful instructors, she just earned her first pilot license! Her mom has been there every step of the way, encouraging her 17-year-old daughter in the pursuit of her dreams. Way to go, ladies! Thanks for choosing our school. We love to see stories like yours.
“You folks are the best! I can see why you are on the AOPA Honor roll. You nurtured my daughter’s passion for flying and helped her meet a challenging goal – earning her private pilot license at the age of 17. Your CFIs are professional, competent and caring. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of camaraderie and cooperation at your flight school. You’ve taught my daughter to be a safe pilot, validating the things she did well and correcting her constructively and effectively when she needed it. You are a great flight school and, in a sense, have become my daughter’s aviation family. Keep doing what you’re doing!” ~ Katrina’s mom

New Private Pilot – Chris Severs

Chalk up another victory to Instructor Lynzie. She guided Chris to a first-time pass of his Private Pilot checkride. In the words of the examiner during their break between oral and practical testing, “he’s on fire!” Chris aced his checkride π We’re excited to see him out and about with his new license.

Aircraft: Cessna N915L
Another student pilot earns their license at AeroDynamic! Congrats to Julien for completing his flight training with CFI Blake and passing his Private Pilot checkride with Vince Nastro. Julien trained at our Reid-Hillview location and took his flight test at Tracy Airport. Well done to all!

New Private Pilot – Thao Do
May 15 2018Date: May 9, 2018
Certification: Private Pilot
Instructor: All of Us!
Aircraft: Cessna N915L
For Thao’s birthday in 2015, her brother gave her a gift certificate to fly aerobatics at Aerodynamic Aviation with Chief Instructor Jen. It was the greatest experience of her life. Jen took her up in the Decathlon 8KCAB and they flew aerobatic maneuvers like hammerheads, Cuban 8, Shark’s Tooth, Humpty-Bumpty, barrel rolls, stalls, and spins. She even taught Thao how to perform a loop. Thao was hooked. Thao returned to AeroDynamic as a student pilot and has “flown” through her training like a women possessed by aviation. As icing on the cake, just after her checkride in Salinas,Β Thao met her idol – airshow performer Sean Tucker. What a way to finish up her license! Thao is already continuing on to earn her ground instructor certificates. We hope she will come teach for us one day π

New Sport Pilot – Gary Petrakovitz
Apr 07 2018Date: March 31, 2018

Gary is our latest Sport Pilot! Although he began training with Instructor Tom, it was CFI Adam who helped Gary cross the finish line. They all worked hard to achieve this goal and we are proud of a job well done. Time for some fun summer flying under that big bubble canopy! Congrats π

New Multi-Engine Pilot – JP O’Dell
Dec 31 2017Date: December 31, 2017
Certification: Commercial Multi-Engine
Instructor: Jen Watson
Last November JP earned his Instrument Rating with us. In March he earned his Private Pilot Multi-Engine Rating. Today JP added Airplane Multi-Engine Land to his Commercial Pilot License! Talk about coming in under the wire for a New Year’s Resolution π JP is a full-time student of aeronautics at Cal Poly in Santa Barbara and often gets to fly cool airplanes with his dad, who is an airline and corporate pilot. It has been such a pleasure to be part of your journey. Maybe one day soon we will see you teaching in our Twin Comanche, aka “Twinkie.” Good luck out there and keep the dirty side down.
