We love seeing tailwheel student pilots take to the air with an empty backseat, and Adnan did an excellent job navigating the traffic pattern at Reid-Hillview with proud CFI Logan watching from the side of the runway. My plan for after I get my private, is to continue to keep getting more training and experience. I want to go on and get my instrument and commercial, and I would love eventually be able to make flying profitable in different ways.

New Multi-Engine Pilot – JP O’Dell

Last November JP earned his Instrument Rating with us. In March he earned his Private Pilot Multi-Engine Rating. Today JP added Airplane Multi-Engine Land to his Commercial Pilot License! Talk about coming in under the wire for a New Year’s Resolution š JP is a full-time student of aeronautics at Cal Poly in Santa Barbara and often gets to fly cool airplanes with his dad, who is an airline and corporate pilot. It has been such a pleasure to be part of your journey. Maybe one day soon we will see you teaching in our Twin Comanche, aka “Twinkie.” Good luck out there and keep the dirty side down.

What were you doing on your 17th birthday? Very few people could answer that they were taking the checkride for their Private Pilot License, let alone doing so well they impressed the FAA examiner. But that is exactly what 17-year-old Adam did last Friday. What an incredible achievement for one so young. We are happy to have been able to give you your first set of wings, Adam, and wish you so much luck in life.

Congrats to Jacob for accomplishing the rare solo birthday flight! At just 16 years old, without even a driver’s license, young Jacob took to the skies with a vacant right seat and realized his dream of soloing. So cool!! Thanks to CFI Adam for helping to make this happen. Well done, guys.

AeroDynamic’s own Taylor D. earned a first-time pass on his Private Pilot checkride! Taylor typically works in our San Jose office on Saturdays, so make sure you congratulate him on this hard-earned achievement. Next on his New Year’s Resolution list is to fly for fun on a few cross-countries. After that little break, he will continue training for his Instrument Rating. Taylor has flown with just about every instructor we have, but it was Chris Compos who encouraged him over the finish line. Well done, guys!

New Private Pilot – Annie Pepper

We’ve converted another helicopter pilot! Annie is a very accomplished rotor wing pilot and instructor. We hope one day soon she will be teaching for us. She is well on her way! After soloing in an airplane just recently, she completed her requirements and earned a first-time pass on her Airplane Private Pilot checkride. Next up is Airplane Instrument, Commercial and then Instructor. On top of all this, she is a full-time law student with internships and she occasionally fills in at our office. You are amazing, Annie!

Congrats to one of our own! Adam passed his Certificated Flight Instructor – Instrument (CFII) checkride just a few hours ago. He should also have his Commercial Multi-Engine Certificate in a few days. Adam began his flight training with AeroDynamic a couple of years ago and has progressed very quickly. We are so proud of you, Adam!

Nicole began her training in Monterey years ago. She started her training in San Jose a few months ago and is progressing well towards her private.
