First Solo Flight – Sergei Pichugin
Apr 11 2018 Aircraft: N61637
Instructor: Batelle Rachmian
Location: San Jose, CA (KRHV)
Solo Date: April 4, 2018
“When I was a kid, I was building small aircraft models. Building these models and controlling them from the ground was really interesting and exciting, but my real dream was to become a pilot someday and fly a real airplane. Finally I achieved my dream here at AeroDynamic, and I made my first solo flight in a Cessna 172, making 2 takeoffs and 2 landings. Many thanks to my instructor – Batelle. I’m looking forward to getting the private pilot license and flying across the country (maybe other countries) discovering new places.” ~Sergei
So cool! Keep up the hardwork!
First Solo Flight – Alex Poklewski
Apr 09 2018Aircraft: Cessna N98485
Instructor: David Waksberg
Location: San Jose, CA (KRHV)
Solo Date: April 4, 2018
“I have always been interested in flying, since I was a child. For my brithday a few years ago, my father-in-law bought me a ticket to go on a “bay tour” style flight out of San Carlos, where you are along for the ride and the pilot allows you to handle the controls for a few seconds. That flight got me hooked, and I realized that my desire to fly is as strong as ever. So, I decided that it’s definitely time to earn my Private Pilot License, and I’m very happy to be working with David and AeroDynamic to make it happen! While I do wish I started flying much earlier in life, I’m thankful to have the opportunity to do it now and am loving every minute of it. I look forward to sharing my love of flying with my kids and family, and being able to explore all the great possible destinations that will be within reach of a private plane.” ~Alex
Thanks for flying with us!
New Sport Pilot – Gary Petrakovitz
Apr 07 2018Date: March 31, 2018
Certification: Sport Pilot
Instructor: Adam Sciupac
Aircraft: SportStar N188EV
Gary is our latest Sport Pilot! Although he began training with Instructor Tom, it was CFI Adam who helped Gary cross the finish line. They all worked hard to achieve this goal and we are proud of a job well done. Time for some fun summer flying under that big bubble canopy! Congrats 🙂
New Multi-Engine Pilot – Matt Bragen
Apr 07 2018Date: March 28, 2018
Certification: Commercial Multi-Engine
Aircraft: Twin Comanche N40DA
Instructor: David Waksberg
Another notch in the pilot belt for Matt! After completing his CFI with us a few years ago, Matt has now accumulated enough flight hours to be a candidate for the airlines. With his Single- and Multi-engine Commercial Pilot License, he will soon be flying right seat on a commercial airliner! It’s great to see your success, Matt! Congrats to CFI David for another amazing job.
New Multi-Engine Pilot – Brian Hendrix
Apr 05 2018Date: March 26, 2018
Certification: Commercial Multi-Engine
Aircraft: Twin Comanche N40DA
Instructor: David Waksberg
Brian, a Southwest Airlines flight attendant, has been pursing a career as an airline pilot. Really, who doesn’t want that? Recently he reached a major milestone in earning his license to fly aircraft with more than one engine. This Multi-Engine Commercial Pilot License allows him to move into the airlines and realize his dream. We are so glad you came to our school for flight training! Congrats to CFI David for all his hard work, too. Way to go, guys!
First Solo Flight – Matthew Tripp
Mar 29 2018Aircraft: Cessna N54102
Instructor: Logan and Adam
Location: San Jose, CA (KRHV)
Solo Date: March 28, 2018
After a few weeks of rainy weather, Matthew was finally able to make his first solo takeoffs and landings on a gorgeous day at Reid-Hillview airport. With his instructor looking on, Matthew flew 3 solo laps around the pattern for landings on 31 Right and 31 Left. After solo, time flies (we mean that literally) and suddenly the Private Pilot checkride is happening. We are rooting for you!
New Private Pilot – Vasu Murthy
Mar 15 2018Date: March 9, 2018
Certification: Private Pilot
Instructor: David Pease
Vasu came into Aerodynamic Aviation to take a couple of joyrides, but he found out it was so much fun that he decided to pursue his private pilot license and completed flight training in a taildragger. He initially trained with Logan and Lynzie. David Pease got him past solo and his check ride. We are happy and proud to have created another aviation addict!

Another pilot earns his license in a taildragger! Congrats to Sergey for earning his Private Pilot Airplane certification with instructor Jason. Sergey has flown everything from light sport, ultra lights, gliders, Cessna to Citabria. He also has a UK glider license and plans to become certificated in the US to fly gliders as well. It’s great to be part of his aviation journey. Congrats!

First Solo Flight – Chris Severs
Feb 06 2018Aircraft: Citabria N2508Z
Instructor: Lynzie Hudson
Location: San Jose, CA (KRHV)
Solo Date: January 31, 2018
Citabria N2508Z has been busy! Our newest student pilot solo goes to Chris Severs, who took 08Z around the pattern a few times on his first tailwheel solo. Chris began flight training many years ago in a Diamond Katana in SoCAL and recently started training for his Private Pilot Certificate in a tailwheel with Lynzie. Nicely done!
New Private Pilot – Greg Seibert
Feb 01 2018Date: January 26, 2018
Certification: Sport Pilot
Instructor: Logan Wright
Despite a few weather delays, Greg was able to complete his Sport Pilot checkride at Lincoln Airport. Greg’s interest in aviation began with RC airplanes. Now that he flies the full-size version, he’s planning to continue on to earn his A&P (Airframe & Powerplant) mechanic’s license. We definitely need more mechanics who fly, if nothing else so they don’t always think it’s the pilot’s fault 😉 Congrats on a checkride well done!
