Solo Date: April 8, 2018
Location: San Jose, CA (KRHV)

Hooray to Jenna for completing her first solo flight…in a taildragger, no less! She showed the airplane who was boss when she flew 3 laps in the traffic pattern for 31 Right at Reid-Hillview Airport (KRHV) all by herself. Instructors Logan and Adam are proud of her accomplishment. Jenna has become part of the AeroDynamic pilot family, including flying along on our dinner fly-out to Napa. We wish her much success as she continues on to earn her pilot licenses.
“I had always had an interest in aviation and came to Aerodynamic with a small amount of experience in tricycle gear aircraft. After my first flight in a taildragger I was hooked! The Aerodynamic family and instructors provide a great environment for learning underlied by an invigorating passion for aviation. I’m looking forward to completing my PPL training and counting myself among the too few number of women in aviation!” ~Jenna

Congrats on another notch in your pilot belt, Fred! After completing training for his Private Pilot License with us, Fred moved on to a complex aircraft endorsement and has now added tailwheel endorsement to his credentials. He is also attending our IFR Ground School and plans to continue on with instrument, commercial and flight instructor. We can’t wait to have him teaching with us and encouraging others to have his passion for aviation. Keep the dirty side down and have fun exploring the green countryside with your newfound love of taildragging!

“When I was a kid, I was building small aircraft models. Building these models and controlling them from the ground was really interesting and exciting, but my real dream was to become a pilot someday and fly a real airplane. Finally I achieved my dream here at AeroDynamic, and I made my first solo flight in a Cessna 172, making 2 takeoffs and 2 landings. Many thanks to my instructor – Batelle. I’m looking forward to getting the private pilot license and flying across the country (maybe other countries) discovering new places.” ~Sergei
So cool! Keep up the hardwork!

“I have always been interested in flying, since I was a child. For my brithday a few years ago, my father-in-law bought me a ticket to go on a “bay tour” style flight out of San Carlos, where you are along for the ride and the pilot allows you to handle the controls for a few seconds. That flight got me hooked, and I realized that my desire to fly is as strong as ever. So, I decided that it’s definitely time to earn my Private Pilot License, and I’m very happy to be working with David and AeroDynamic to make it happen! While I do wish I started flying much earlier in life, I’m thankful to have the opportunity to do it now and am loving every minute of it. I look forward to sharing my love of flying with my kids and family, and being able to explore all the great possible destinations that will be within reach of a private plane.” ~Alex
Thanks for flying with us!
