News: LPV approach coming to Watsonville!
Mar 05 2013For a long time the best available instrument approach to Watsonville (KWVI) has been the LOC approach to runway 2.
The new LPV (Localizer Precision with Vertical guidance) GPS approach to Rwy 2 just came out which will improve on this a lot – starting on March 7, 2013.

Withe the new LPV approach, minimums have been reduced down to 300′ agl, nearly as good as an ILS.
All GPS equipped planes at AeroDynamic are also WAAS capable and can fly LPV approaches. So there will be no excuses any more for not going to lunch at Props!

News: Champ and Taylorcraft are back!
Feb 23 2013Hi AeroDynamic Aviators
Both the Champ and Taylorcraft are back on line.
The Champ has had a new radio and intercom installation to replace the one that kept breaking down.
The Taylorcraft has merely been waiting for better weather and its annual inspection.
Where else can you fly a 1945 or 1946 airplane, with a manual “armstrong” starter system, just like your grandfather might have learned to fly in?
They definitely are an acquired taste, but they will help you hone your stick and rudder skills like no other plane.
I have test flown both and they are ready for you!

A new restaurant opened at the Paso Robles Airport this week. LaGuardia’s Italian Deli is open for breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday, and also Saturday and Sunday for brunch. Owner Lou LaGuardia is serving gourmet style Italian sandwiches like ”Nicky’s” French toast panini – scrambled eggs, thick cut bacon on Italian bread with a honey walnut blackberry chutney, “Marie’s” housemade meatball sub with melted mozzarella on a rustic roll, and a breakfast pizza of salami or prosciutto, fried egg, mozzarella cheese, arugula, and homemade marinara sauce.
“Thanks to all my friends and new friends for coming out to the deli,” they posted on Facebook. “We’ve been having a great 1st week. It would have been nice to see some family, but I know that they will play the we live 3000 miles away card.”
The new restaurant is located in the airport terminal at 4900 Wing Way, Paso Robles. (805) 227-7168.
It’s open not just Monday through Friday 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. but also Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome.
