“After slowly completing the 3 required simulated instrument flight hours in private pilot training 0.5 hours at a time, I was worried how I would get through the 40+ expected hours in instrument training. However, with Thao’s expertise and willingness to help me get this license as efficiently as possible, I was able to get through it and learn many things along the way. Instrument training is truly very methodical and once you know the general flow, it gets easier the more approaches you shoot. “Some of the earliest memories I have as a child were forcing family members to pull over their car, unstrap me from my car seat, and watch planes land at the Nashua, New Hampshire airport. This has been a 30 year dream that I wasn’t sure would ever happen and now I’m a commercially rated pilot. I can’t thank all of the instructors I’ve had at Aerodynamic enough for making that little kids dream become reality. Although I’m older now, I still enjoy watching other pilots come into land at Reid-Hillview. The only difference now is I get to share that love for aviation with my 11 month old son Cole… even though he points up and calls them “Dirds”. AKA birds.” ~ Derrick
